Was finally able to find a mechanic willing to look at my 94 Ford ranger xlt 3.0 because it's not "too old"
He said my spark/injectors weren't firing in unison correctly with timing to cause combustion and turn over fully. He's looking it over and so far he said it's possibly the ECM or a cam/crank sensor on the back of the engine the transmission would have to be removed to change. To my knowledge there is no other sensor on the back of the engine like that or is there? I thought it only had the sensor on distributor? Do either of these options seem viable for my crank no start?

To best of my knowledge, there are no sensors at the rear of the engine.

Does your truck have a distributor? A late '94 3.0 might be early distributor-less. (just making sure)

Crank sensor is usually on the front, IF it has one. But i'm pretty sure 94 does not have it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it doesn't have it either, I'm pretty sure the guys is getting it confused with an newer model 3.0 he worked on before

The tfi module on the distributor, and oil gauge sender sensor are the only 2 sensors on the back part of a 94 3.0. There are no camshaft or crankshaft sensors on the front. Those came along in 95 3.0 engines. My still new to my life 97 3.0 5spd ranger a has those. My 94 3.0 5spd ranger of 31 years had none of that.

Yeah besides him being a bit confused about that because I'm pretty sure he's confusing it with a later year 3.0
