I didn't know where to put this... I apologize if it's in the wrong spot.
I was reading around some website and it said it's important to clean it every so often. I looked all over the place and can't figure out how to do it on a ford ranger. I have an '03 Ranger. Can anyone possibly type up a how to? or a guide or something? :]

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In the tech library on this website there is a step by step write up on this. Under Intake click on Cleaning The MAF.

I disagree that it's periodic maintenance.

You might go there if you're solving a problem.

But it gives you the opportunity to break or foul the MAF, and it's rather expensive.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I generally clean the maf as part of a tune up.

i agree with MAKG, your opening yourself up for trouble by cleaning the MAF regularly...and its totally unecissary.
