Manifold bolt size? Replacement?

Anyone know where I can find a replacement bolt for my exhaust manifold or the dimensions for it? It flew out and I’m not sure where to find it and I got a nasty exhaust leak

Hello all! My 88 ranger has lost the big bolt hardware in the left exhaust manifold. Does anyone know the size of the plug needed or am I out of luck and need to buy a new manifold? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think it’s an egr plug but I’m unsure it dies at idle without it in.

The item you have circled is the EGR tube fitting in the left side exhaust manifold. I assume you have an 86 or 87 engine because later ones don't use EGR.

Some/all of the later ones just had a plug in the manifold port.

I don’t know what size though. Might be 1/2” or 3/4” pipe thread.

I'd almost best it's some special thread. I got a set 95 4.0 manifolds and had to drill/tap for pipe thread to fill that hole.

Leave it to Ford to do something like that. Wonder if it could be like British Pipe Thread or one of those other oddball to us deals. There may be a work-around that way because that sort of thing is available, just not at a local store.
