Hey y'all, Ever since I had a slight impact to the rear of my truck, I have been having an issue with my trans, When engaging into first, depending how fast let off the clutch and what-not, the trans will tilt towards my passenger side then whip right back after I am fully engaged. It doesn't really happen in any other gear other than first but I can see how the "Torque" (I use the term loosely for the 2.3 lol) from the higher RPMS when I am in first and second will shift the transmission to the pass side.

I checked my bellhousing bolts and trans mount bolts but they were tight. I even bought a new one to replace the old mount, but have yet to replace it just yet.

I also tighten down everything on my Hurst shifter to be sure but no change

I would like to get under the truck and see what is causing this issue but I am Not Crazy enough to let my friend drive my truck while I look under the to see what is going on, lol.

Anyone have any Idea where I should look?

Oh the truck Is a '95 Supercab ranger with the 2.3/M5OD.

Sounds like the tranny mount is gone, you can check play in it by hand as well by lifting on the bottom of the tranny. It could be in combination with loose motors mounts, so those are the places I'd take a good look at first. Even getting a friend to load the engine down, ease out on clutch in gear (make sure the truck's chalked/parking brake etc, against a wall even) and check those things.

Thanks man! I am gonna start there tomorrow, before class. Appreciate it man and I love your rig!

drivers side motor mount... i doubt it's related to your accident

I second the motor mount...my 96 4 banger does the same thing, driver motor mount is broke...
