Has anyone replaced the pinion seal in the front of their Ranger? Any weirdness to it or pretty comparable to a older axle where you just mark the pinion nut and put back where it was?
 
I have not. Other than changing gear oil, I haven't had to do anything to the front axle.
 
I wouldn't worry about it. They eventually quit leaking.
 
On the fence how into this I am for a DIY project as opposed to just paying for it...

It has that freaking goofy bell shaped flange thing that I don't know if a normal flange tool would even fit. I don't have a dial torque wrench either.
