I got a 91, 3.0, noticed earlier at idle after the motor is warm the oil pressure drops to none but hold it at 1000 rpm and it shoots back up to normal, no noise from motor when it drops. Sending unit? oil pump? blocked screen on pick up tube? any body had this problem or does any one have any advice? Thanks

It's possible that your oil pressure is marginal. You sensor is just a switch. Oil pressure over the limit is "good" and pressure below the limit is "bad," but it doesn't tell you what the actual pressure is. Find a mechanical gauge and plumb it in to see what your actual oil pressure is reading. It's possible to have very marginal oil pressure and hear no noise from the engine until you accumulate enough damage to destroy a bearing somewhere.

Either figure it out or take it to a shop, but don't keep driving it without knowing.
