4 Litre OHC Issues.

So l see that these engines have issues with the timing chains /guides.
So Ford realized there was an issue and offered warranty?? Repair?
We're they eventually able to correct this issue and if so what year might you consider this no longer an issue?

Yes they did some updated guides and tensioners...

I believe by 04 they all had updated parts.

Warning... lack of maintenance even with updated parts is still a problem.

Ford did not offer any extended warranty on the cassettes (guides). Not all of them failed. Mine were still good at 250K miles when I did a full timing chain system rebuild. The cassettes were getting brittle but still intact. I replaced the hydraulic tensioners at 100K miles as preventive maintenance. That may have helped the cassettes to survive.
