Ever heard of an idle issue when transmission is put in park?
I've been having idle issues in park and drive. There was evidence to think it was a bad alternator, advance did a check and battery was bad, alternator OK. I replaced the battery and now the truck idles good in drive. However, when I go from drive to park the engine goes from ~600rpm (in drive) to 300-400rpm (in park) and volt meter on the dash drops. If I give it gas the idles comes back up to ~600rpm and continues to have an idle issue like a vacuum leak.
Any suggestions on the sudden drop in rpm's when putting in park?
