Hy guys
I'm a frenchy and I'm looking on Craiglist to find the truck of my dreams
During 12 years I was the owner of a Ford Taunus '71 fastback V6
Nice european car, but I have a muscular disease and now I have to drive upper cars like a pickup. I'm not strictly fixed on a generation. I look between 1965 and 1980.

So before all I need to find some technical informations like the size of the long bed ( I prefer short bed stepside but its harder to find) due of the the size of my garage and also the height of the seat
Do you know where I can find this?
Thanks

Bruno

The long bed is 8' and the short one is 6', wheel bases for regular cabs were 133" and 117".

thanks Walt (y)
well understood
I think I asked my question wrong. I need to know total size of the truck, short and long bed. 'cause I need to know if its reasonable to look at a long bed, maximum size of my garage is 275'

Do you know where I can download old diagrams with all measures?

A ‘79 f-series supercab w/ 8’ bed is 233”. A regular cab w/ 8’ bed should be 22” shorter, so 211”. A short bed would be 24” shorter.

ok good news :) so I can extend my research

and do you know the size between ground and seat on F100, 250... on a classic configuration ?

sweet :) thank you
actually I drive a Rav4 and the seat is at 30' it's perfect for me and my handicap

@rusty ol ranger ... can you help him out with some measurements?

I can go out and measure my 77 F250. Are you looking for a measurement from the ass part of the seat to the ground...im assuming?

Ok...My 77 F250 is about 39 inches. But my seat is somewhat broken down from sliding in and out. Id say 42ish on a fresh seat.

A F150 will be a few inches shorter, a F100 shorter yet.

ok thanks a lot
so I'll exclude 250 of my search, too high

no one knows where I can find this information for F100 an 150?

Join that forum. Ive had many 100s/150s of that vintage in the past but never measured what youre needing.
