lookin for help designing an enclosure for 4 10's

its still going to be tight though.

4x10" subs = 40"
add 1" spacing in between each one = 44"
2" wide slot port for each chamber = 48"

then you take into account material thickness, you should be pretty close to that 50". should work though. good luck with the build

dont know why i didnt think of it earlier but you can always use aero ports on the backside of the box.

yah i know....but im more biased towards slot ports if any at all...idk why.

ao anyways, yesterday(sunday) i decided i wanted to start buildin the box around 3pm..soo i went to home depot, got a sheet and a half of 3/4mdf and started figurin out all my measurements, and basically ended up almost finished by about 11.30pm..just have to cut out the holes for the subs, and put on the back of the enclosure, fill some lil gaps(i was using a skillsaw), sand the crap outta it, router the outside edges, and choose a finish for it...

ohh and i still have to pull the current setup out, and change the location of 2 amps, and install another....soo i have some work ahead of me!! but its goin to be sweet when its done!!!

if you have enough mdf left, i would suggest adding a second baffle to the face of the box.

that's just ridiculous... i mean it's cool and all... but you can't honestly enjoy that? you don't get like sores or anything on your back from the seats vibrating so much?

its actually for 4 12's and i only have 2 in it, the box was given to me and im not going pass up a freebie im going do some mods to it and turn half of it onto storage

it has 2 MTX road thunder DVC 12's wired at 4ohm's powerd by a MTX thunder 282 2 channle amp that puts out 280 watts RMS bridged with a cut off switch i only have 50 bux im this system

and no i don't get sores from the vibration it actually feels good i have a messed up back from an old motorcycle racing accident and the bass is sorta therapeutic

i forgot to add my box has about 4.93 cubic foot of airspace its made out of 3/4 MDF 4 sealed chambers i think it comes out to 1.21cf per chamber sealed,

all powered up

two pr1.500 monoblock amps(500rms/1000peak at 1ohm), and two audiobahn 1farad caps with digital display

as you can see, not 100% complete. still need to figure out what to finish the box with, install other 2 subs, and i also am goin to run a 0awg power cable off my battery because i have a 4awg currently going to a splitter that have two 4awg cables goin to each cap...so ima see if i can pull a little more power out of it.also considering gettin an optima..
what you all think bout it?

looks good, i love Memphis amps, i had one of their PR1KD amps 1000 WATTS RMS AT 1 ohm it powerd 4 kicker solo-baric 10s i never got to figure out SPL though amp went out the day before a sound off but i did get to talk to the Memphis rep there and he got me a replacement on the way thet day

i would defiantly upgrade your battery and possibly look into a high output alt
