My truck is a 89 ranger 2.9 twin stick. It already has the 2.5" lift from the factory, high rider.

I am preparing my summit racing list and wanted to check with everyone before I click that submit payment button.

My plans are as follows.

3" body lift
Belltec shackles (rear)
3.5" axle lift blocks (rear)
2" leveling kit (front)

My question, will all these items play well together? Anything extra ill need to buy besides the items listed? Things like pinion angle and steering alignment will be okay? Will I need larger, longer shocks?

Thanks in advance.
Gary~

Sound like it will be high in the rear to me

If I've added everything up right, the rear will only be 1 inch higher than the front, which I'm okay with. I think it'll give it a slight raked look.

3" body lift is the whole truck.
2" raise in the rear from shackles - 2" raise in the front from leveling kit.
The rear already has a 2.5" block, remove that and put the 3.5 block in. Therefore the rear will be 1" higher.

Is my math right?

Yea that's right will be 1 inch higher. Does your front already rake down?

I thought it was pretty level, but looking at pictures I guess the front is raked down a little bit.

Is the leveling kit some spacers, or new springs?

If its springs, you will probably wont gain any height, because you already have springs that are 2" longer than stock due to HighRider package.

Id buy the body lift from summit but id wait on everythig else.

My auto zone supirior automotive chevy drop shackles cost me like 30 bucks and are the same as the belltechs.

Washer spacers is what i used for a leveling kit and i had like $20 in washers to make those.

Surry, Leveling kit is spacers.

JSommers, thanks! ill look into the autozone shackles. Do you more details you have on washers? $20 Is way better than $140.

Thanks.

Go to a bolt/fastener shop (other than fastenal woiuld probably be better... they have them but only in bulk and are all more expensive than what I found) and ask for 1 1/4" flat washers, non plated, through my work at Oregon Bolt (you probably have something similar around...) they had them for $.25 a piece and they are 1/8" thick with a 1 3/8" center hole, the same thing at Fastenal were like $2 each and were thick galvanized...

$140 for some spacers!?

Ebay sells billet aluminum ones for like $42 a set...

Or you can just get some big ass washers, and tack weld 'em together. They need to be something like 3.5" washers? The important part is the inside diameter - it needs to fit over your bolt under the coil.

I got mine from fastenal but im pretty sure they werent 20 a piece. The tech library has the dimensions

Thank you everyone!

Anyone have an idea if ill need longer shocks or anything else like that?

I think if you stay with in 2-3 inches your ok anything more yes.

2-3 suspension that is body lift you don't need new shocks

Went to the local auto parts store yesterday and buying shocks may be a little tough. With it being the high rider package, a typical off the shelf ranger shock wont do it? no?

Today im going to yank them off, measure, and measure in the store.

Put my lift blocks on the rear axle last night, quite easy, and pays off HUGE!

No, the Highrider shocks should be about 2" longer.

If you're doing a spacer lift on a Highrider truck, you should be able to use 3" lift shocks.
