Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Since you're racing in KOH right? :thefinger:

Fawk yea! :thefinger:

Na, i said that because they do prolly the most toughest rock crawling around, and dont need them, so i dont see any reason for me, who doesn't do anything like that, to get them either.

Yea, that sounds much better than the first time

Well really the only reason to run a ring like that is to add a little bling to a rig. With that being said, I am just gonna go with the basic one, maybe a little something on them. I don't wanna dick with scooping mud out of them all the time and I didn't consider the extra weight either.

Alright, just ordered the Ruffstuff locks, $225, minus our 10% off, $202.50 isn't too bad! Then shipping is only $11.50, so only $214 to my door!

Just gotta decide if I'm gonna nut up and buy the Dutchman axles or just redrill mine 6 lug......

As far as I know your the only one here with the pacer flexy flares surface mount. Do you think they will work on a wheel opening that is a "D" shape like on my truck in the rear, or do they have to mount on a nice perfect arc?

Jay and SVT have them too, but I think they will look best if they are in a nice arc. They will conform to whatever you want them to, but the tighter the bend the further it 'pushes' the flair out. If that doesn't bother you, you wont have any issue with them.

grun - 4x4junkie has em on his bii. Looks great. Search for his rig.

kyle - I'd get the dutchmans. oh wait, I did. :thefinger:

If you can redrill the stockers and get the bolt circle spot on, go for it dude. I wasn't going to try it with hand tools. Its gotta be close. I didn't want to risk having the wheel offcenter a little bit.

Sasquatch has them on his 2nd gen.

All the cools guys have em....Too bad Bray sold me his, he was really close to being cool.

I am going to make a jig that fits over the center hub tight then just transfer and drill off that. I have big drill presses I can use at work so it should be alright. I will have to weld up a couple old stud holes, but no problem. If it doesn't work out, I will just spend the $225 on the dutchmans (which isn't bad) the $60 to ship sucks!

Is there any trick to making a nice long consistent arc or do you just cut and hope for the best lol

Reeaally close! I may earn my cool points back if I step up to a larger tire. I wasn't liking the wheel gap I was gonna have if I installed em to cover up the stock holes. They look great on your rig though!

You'll probably be good to go in that case. If anything, if it isn't 100% good, order the Dutchmans and keep the redrilled ones for spares.

Couple try's with masking tape first... then get at it with your choice of sheetmetal eating tool....

One day.....lol

When I cut mine I followed the arch of my flair. I am sure you could rig up a string off your hub and swing an arch, then flaten it out to get the shape you want. How are you gonna cut yours? What shape?

Yeah, they are alright. They match the theme of my truck well. Definitly looks more like a rig now than it ever did or ever thought it would! Damn trees messin up my nice truck....lol
