Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

lots of interest in a kit......if I can make the stub like I want to, I will let you guys know and I will make a few.

I think that hate I had earlier would turn to love. No homo. :icon_rofl:

Now looks whos suckin up....ahhhh, I see how ya are

When you shorten your radius arms isn't it going to affect your flex?

No, I don't think so. My arms are so long now, the 6" to 8" I would shorten them wouldn't even make a difference. My arms are over 50" long as is....

Do you plan to run the crossmember between the crawl box and the t-case like I did? It works out awesome for packaging, but its a PAIN IN THE ASS anytime you need to remove the doubler. It means having to support the entire frontend so you can drop that crossmember. I've got it down to a science now, but it still sucks. You may be able to scheme a way to make the center of the crossmember removable or something, so you can leave the suspension alone. Just remove that center section then drop the case through.

I'm not sure yet. If I do shorten the arms probably will put it right under the doubler. Right now the crossmember is right behind the T case, so when I move it back 6"-7" after installing the doubler, it will be right over it. Maybe I will just lower the crossmember so I don't have to worry about drive shaft issues, or I could notch it for the case, but it is right above the heim.....see IDK yet lol!

I have time to figure it out still....need to figure out a cheap and effective way to spline multiple stubs.

What would everyone think a fair price would be for a stub? If I am going to make a bunch of them, I am gonna have more cost into it compared to making just one. I am going to make some tooling and jigs to help make them eaiser

Would anyone be interested in a adapter plate also?

count me in, want to do one but with all the shit i have going it would just be another project on the table for months.

depending on price i may be intrested, look's like im gonna be pretty invested into my axle's by the time spring roll's so we'll have to see.

Adapter plate and sector shaft, check.

BTW, why not have your radius arm mounts like the Superlift extended arm ones? Or are you talking about an entirely different crossmember here?

Whats a good price...pm me if you want

Depends on the price, but most definitely:icon_thumby:.

You do plan on having all this DD quality, right?

Same to you, what is a good price....I was asking what you guys would pay to find out if it would be worth it for me to spend the time and money...Let me know

And yes, it will be DD quality I guess. I am gonna build it so it's strong and the qualtiy will be there. Everything will be turned in a lathe, broached, heat treated, surface ground and EDM wire burnt. I Am figuring I will have couple hours into each one. I am thinking of making them out of chromoly too so depending on that cost, I might have 100 into just one shaft, but the more I do the less.

Guess I don't know what you mean with the crossmember, but I am thinking a whole new one.

Get to work!

I'll post up pictures of mine once I get my camera from my buddy's shop. Basically though, they are two separate pieces with no crossmember in the middle.

I would be interested in the doubler kit... Been looking into making my own for a few years now. I have the two cases but just don't have the right equipment to make them....

Price would be my only worry.
