Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

as long as its before july 5th or whatever date it is.
think we get a discount for being TRS to. doubt they'll give you both discounts tho

Yup, the TRS one is 10% that I always use, didn't know about the facebook one....I jusr ordered another $100 and used the facebook one, they will only let you use one. I ordered some limit straps and a pinion guard for the 14 bolt.

i'm jealous.. if i just half the money you've just spent in the past month.. my sas would be finished!

it has been an expensive month lol

But, I parted out my mustang to pay for this.

What was there to even part out from it? Other then the engine and drivetrain which is goin into the ranger

Rims, Transmission, Tires, Axle, Suspension, various interior parts, still usable body parts such as hatch and tailights etc,

Yup, what he said, lol. There were still lots of good parts. I even saved the exhaust and sold that.

LOL, will do!

Here is a picture of my drive slugs, got them from a local place that makes them in house, Rocksolid Performance. Great guys, great sevice. I order my gears from them also.

Nice stuff ya got there! When I go 35 spline outers up front I'll be throwin flanges in too, no sense in throwing weak points in! Trucks coming together, you'll love the v8 for wheel speed in the mud.

i have a newb question. what is the advantages of slugs? i think theyre replacements of the lock in hub so your front shafts will always be engaged, kind of like a jeep axle right? and its supposed to be stronger than just having hubs?

Strength, nothing to come apart at the stub as it's solid steel!

I got a screaming deal on all the parts so why not right? I am looking forward to the v8, that and the auto. Will be nice to play with :D

Yup, stronger is the main reason. I am running them in my 44 now too.

Got my axles tore down, just gotta degrease them, cut off brackets and paint them. Hope I get my gears soon so I can get doing that too.

The 60

All of my mess

The C6, think it is a short housing, adaptor measures about 6" long, is that good or bad?

My 5.0 sitting on the stand ready to swap, just need a flywheel, oil filter relocator kit and maybe a starter, not sure if they are all the same or not.

Hope this ECU still works, don't really want to have to buy a new one, might anyway, this one is for a 5 speed and I will be running an auto.

The gears I took out, 60 on left, 14 bolt on right

14 bolt gears compared to my 8.8 gears, looks tiny!
