Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Undecided, I have a 1350M also.....I might build a doubler so I might leave it out till I build it. What do ya think?

can never hurt to do a doubler, just wasnt sure if you were gunna pick up a 1354m to get rid of the E

im looking into the doublers myself

Thanks!

...

You say you are getting bind, how much down travel are you getting? Have you had your front drive shaft in it yet? Any bind there? I was thinking of limiting my down travel because of these things.

I have my 14" shocks in f-250 towers and the TRE at the pitman arm binds with 3" left of down travel in the right shock.

My stock front driveshaft binds and the lower joint with 1" down travel left in the left shock. And the shaft is to short to safely run, only has 1/2" left in the slip yoke at bind limited droop, and only 3/4 to 1" at ride height.

That's still a lot of travel, my frame was on stands about 38" off the ground, and the axle was sitting with the rotors on the concrete.

Good progress man.

I wouldn't get lockouts again. Get some drive flanges. I thought I was onto something with the warn premiums, until I broke the shit out of one. I've got a handfull of stock lockouts to break, once I'm through those I'll be buying flanges.

Alright thanks, decided to go all heims for now, we will see how it works. Ruffstuff sells 3/4" heim kits, 1 left, 1 right with all the jam nuts and weld in bungs for $50 a set so that I what I got, 2 sets. I will be using those for my track bar also.

What if I ran one lockout and one flang? I wanna be able to drive it on the street, not a DD, but I wanna be able to steer. Where you buyin your flanges from?

On another note, ordered a couple sets of heims for steering, ordered some track bar mounts, frame side and axle side, can't beat the price, and got a Ruffstuff 44 diff cover on its way. Should have the crossmember done by the weekend. Plan is to have it on all 4 then get to fabbing cab mounts, then shock mounts.

I think most come with a "dummy puck". So they're essentially unlocked until you put in the actual splined drive pucks. 5 minutes at the trail head to swap em over. That's what NMB2 told me IIRC. Even if they don't, you could probably whip something up at work.

I haven't sources any suppliers, but I'd probably start by searching the Pirate vendors.

ALright, gonna start researching flanges, F it, just money right?

id say they are just that way for mocking things up

Welp, cross member is done, painted and mounted, all looks good. I also made a tie rod and waiting on making the drag link and track bar till I get my heims, should be next week, then I can place my trackbar mounts. Put the front tires on the new rims, put it together to mock it up and see my wheel base, right at 115 so the axle is pushed just over 1" (stock is 113.9) wich is still way better than my old 125". READY TO GET IT DONE, TIRED OF WAITING FOR THINGS AND MONEY!!! Just another couple hundred bucks and it's done! it is really amazing how quick it all adds up, lot more than I figured I would have into it.

Got my battery relocation kit from summit and my 1.5" 1/4" wall DOM for steering and track bar and my track bar mounts from Ruffstuff

Thanks for looking!

looking good, i think youll like the 115 inch wheelbase

I think you should have lowered the brace a little too give you more up travel, it loooks to me when the wheels come up the bars are going to hit the frame and transcross member.
