About the only thing I have done is collected parts. I am still working out the accesories for the front of the engine (alt,ps pump, a/c) since the front end is sooo much narrower. aint it though...
I went down to Mt Dora a couple of times and talked to Gil about the whole project and looked around the shop. It looks like the easiest engine to use is a Chevy 350 because there are so many different brackets, oil pans, headers, etc. available. But I have wanted to stick with the Ford in a Ford idea.go with a sbF (my sbC was free)
Its interesting that you chose to go with a steel bed,(I need steel to carry the Harley) the original owner purchased the complete body kit with the windows installed. I have played around with the body placement and thats really what I need to do next. I want to see if I can mount the body lower on the frame rails to close up the gap between the top of the tires and fenders(If you go ant lower than what he recommends...you'll have to cut out a section of the floor & fab a tunnel for the xmsn to fit in). The original owner already lowered the truck so theres no more adjustment there. But I have to work with how the engine, radiator and trans fits in relation to the bottom of the cab and firewall. (Yep...set EVERYTHING on the chassis & make it fit FIRST....don't do like me & make it fit the 3rd time....LOL)
I would definately be interested in seeing any other pictures you may have when you where assembling the truck and am also interested in how the title and registration work out. Keep up the good work!
