just dropped in to say good by trs

It sat there heating up the tranny, wouldn't budge in either direction. I swear on my spare coilpack I saw it with my own two eyes. Yanked it out with my 4cyl Jeep in low.

It was a v6 2wd - not a v8 model like yours.

I bought a VUE. I'm still here.

Stick around, bubba.

I just bought a F250 and i'm selling the Ranger. I'm still staying. Why? Simple, this is the best damn forum i've ever come across!

i havent driven my ranger in almost 3 years...3 YEARS!!! and ive been here the whole time. stick around!

I bought an ecoboost f-150 and the ranger is sold and being picked up on wednesday- but I plan on sticking around until I'm run off. And you'll be back. No dodge will hold up like a ford... and yes I'm prepared for the flame from those of u who don't believe that statement. Of course most of u know I'm right heeheehee... but congrats on the new ride. I was ecstatic when I bought my first and only new dodge in 1992- then it boned me hard core and I added it to the list of cars I'll never own again. Didn't even get 80K on it and it was dead.

Stupid Dodge transmissions, if only it had a good one like a A4LD it wouldn't have been in that situation.

I used to think my grandparents Durango was a POS. Always some stupid trivial thing going wrong... then I drove it and found out it had something like 250k miles on it. All of the sudden the steering rack, wheel bearings, heater core, and A/C repairs didn't seem all that out of place. It is still stupidly put together IMO, but a complete POS wouldn't get that many miles on it.

This is why I buy manuals :thefinger:

The 3.9 has the same torque and more HP than a 4.0 OHV... It wasn't a power problem, it was an automatic tranny problem, and that's why low range exists, too bad 2WDs don't have it.

Hell, stick around and BS man. I've contemplated moving to an F150 super cab or 4 door as of late just for the extra room (3 kids). Most of the action I've given on here is in my Mustang thread. Nobody has bitched at me for that yet.

I'll still kick it here for sure if I sell the Ranger.

Plus, Straycat probably has a bunch of buddies or magazines that can help you fix that Dakota. :D

Soo grey, u got more pics of that hideous thing?

LOL@ shanes comment

i wonder why i didnt pick on u for that one.

anyway u must wear this now ;brownbag;

Feel free to pick, Pancho, I can take it. But at the moment, it's the only vehicle I own that I can get into and out of with the least amount of pain. This knee isn't coming along very quickly.

Just cause you said it I went and looked it up - and there is no comparison. It might have the same peak torque, but it's way higher up in the powerband. Down low, the 3.9 looks very anemic, doesn't even get into the torque until after 2000rpm, and peak is at 3200rpm, which is terrible in a truck.
