I am heading to the local yard on wed and hoping to pull a 90-94 explorer seat and center console. Can any body tell me what all I will need tool wise? So I don't have to pack all my tools. Thanks :D

flat head, philipps, vice grips, 10-15mm sockest, ratchet and a good set of torx bits.

awesome thanks. It will make it much easier since the ford section is in the back 40 of my local yard. might need to take the kids wagon with me lol

Never throw out your kiddie wagon, you can haul anything with them. We still have ours from when I was a kid.

youll need like a t30 torx bit for part of the seat, and like a 13 or 14mm socket for the main bolts, if your putting this in a ranger youll need to swap the tracks the exploder seat came on with the tracks from your ranger

to get the Cosole you'll have to remove the armrest from the folding bracket

That takes an 8mm Socket

#2 phillips screw driver to remove the cup holder.

Depending on the type of the cupholder there may be two
screws UNDER the cup holder

there is a single screw holding the console to the bracket under where the armrest mounts.

Other than that there is nothing holding the console down.

Once you have the armrest, cupholder and console shell you'll need an 11mm socket (some vehicles are 10mm) to remove the nuts that hold the rear (metal) bracket to the floor (four nuts) and the plastic bracket at the front is held down with two nuts.

The seats are bolted down with four bolts each (13mm Bolts)

Plus the single nut (10mm) that anchors the seatbelt track to the seat track
and the shoulder bolt (10mm head) that holds the seatbelt buckle to the seat frame.

Thanks for the infor guys def helpfull. I went to the yard yesterday I don't know if its all the pull a parts but the one in here in louisville sucks.....every time I come away disappointed. There were NO seats that looked good they were all torn or so dirty and there where no consoles that would work, every one I saw had something broken on them not just missing but broken...I don't think I could have even pieced one together....so when I got home I just yanked the seat and did the 60 conversion took like 30mn and I am happy with the out come. still on the look out for a 90-94 explorer console though. if any body has one let me know.
