Junk Yard Trips

I still need to go to my local one. It lists five or six rangers on the website but i bet they are in terrible shape

If you want to find a really nice one you should probably shop just about anywhere else...

I've liked them forever too, actually started out thinking that was the parts store! :D

I also noticed a number of comments about them disappearing which brought back something I happened onto several years ago while looking up the number of a recycler in a small town about 40 miles away.

They weren't showing in my phone book and online all I found was ones that are only ghosts there, the number is toll free but they have no yard there, they just advertise in every other small town in the country.
I suppose they show up with a dump truck and a loader, and it winds up in china, as they've been gobbling up every resource they could gather for years now

Here's another example I just happened onto while searching a Craftsman table saw manual (I have mine but was lazy to look it up). Near the bottom of the list they dropped this free car pick up ad.
No matter where you are this will claim it's in your neighborhood, and offer to pick up any cars you've got. This is tricky so don't type nothing into any search box besides this number866-439-4401 DO NOT ADD A 1 ;)

I found a gold mine today. An hour from my house. Only had 30 minutes or so from time my feet hit the ground but I will be returning soon. Same lady lives there that opened it in 1974. No advertising anywhere, over 100 acres and 4000 vehicles. Haven’t found the elusive door I’m looking for but I probably only covered 1/4 or less of the place. Hopes are high. Searching for a bed for my 84 as well. What a cool experience seeing one of these old school yards still rocking.

Wow! That looks like it is going to be great to just go through and look at stuff

There was a lot in that place I wasn't sure why it was in there. That tan ranger I would love to have for a 3/4 of the year DD. Needed one fender. I plan to head back as soon as I find time and spend a day in there just exploring. Hopefully would find some of what I need as well. There was a short bed 2wd bull nose that I would like to resurrect from there but my driveway is already beyond full. I was in such a hurry yesterday didn't have long and wanted to see as much as possible. More to come for sure. They do sell whole vehicles as well.

I seriously can't believe this is still sitting there...

You should make room for one more if the price is right.

My dad had a baby blue one he would take us four wheeling in when i was in fifth or sixth grade.

That thing seemed pretty together and straight… looked cool. They sell whole vehicles Gump I can get a # for you if you want? 🤔🤣

Man that is totally awesome. It might not last long if word goes out too far and wide

@RumPunch

That thing doesn't look comfortable enough to sleep in. Because if I brought it home... that's where I would be living!
