I was lucky and a friend had a hyd. bender... 1-2.5" dies in .25" increments! $$$$$!!!

On a side note... when are you moving back to kentucky? I'm trying to find a cheap set of bedsides from someone in Cali, lol.

September. What, are you coming down to the K.Y.?

Yea, I don't blame you, KY is pretty amazing and just about anything is better than Canada :thefinger:

What was that? I can't hear you over the sizzle of all this delicious bacon....lol. For the longest time I was having bitch of a time getting someone to ship me my front fenders, I can only imagine box sides would be worse... Easy to find a seller, hard to find one willing to sell to someone in another country, let alone state....

Let me know. Like i said, I am pulling out of here September 19th. If he is local, I'll just pick them up and ship them to you on your dime.

I have a 110v Campbell Hausfeld welder, it's set up with flux core and I'm more or less self taught, the last welder I had ever used was back in the late 80's and was a arc welder, and I can weld sheet metal pretty darn good with my flux core.

I would have gotten the gas attachment for mine at the time but I didn't have the cash, I got mine at Tractor Supply.

Looks like i will have to get the Ranger finished a little bit sooner.... D has been invited to the Collector Car Appreciation Day event at K&N Filters' Headquarters in Riverside, CA on July 9th!!! What an honor to beone of the only 125 vehicles that were chosen!

Congrats!!

Yea, its not really a show because there are no trophies or anything, just a cruise in. Just thought it was cool they told me to come.

nope. I called him like 5 times yesterday to see if he shipped it yet, and couldn't get a hold of him. Going to try all day today too.

I did get some new gas and got the new-to-me welder up and running. This thing works pretty well! I still have some work to do on welding, but that takes time. I think they are not too bad, but could be better.

Here is the Airtank from the bed. Since i am moving the fuel tank, this will be moved to the frame.

Since it will be mounted on the side, the release valve and saftey valve would be horizontal.

So i cut the brackets off, ground down to the bare metal, well, until my flap wheel grinder shit out on me, and rotated the tank 90* and welded the brackets back on.

To me, it looks like i need to prep the area a little better. As far as welder settings, I think i have them set pretty good. What do you guys think?

Here is a close up of the welds....
