i have a 1994 4.0 5 speed 4x4 it runs fine unless you hold it to the floor it cuts out really bad like wont go at all if you hold it half throttle it runs ok. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

First of all... WHERE are you?

Then tell us more about when it does this? Is the engine still cold? Which gear is the transmission in? How many rpm does it do this at? How fast is the vehicle going?

WHAT zackly have you tried to do to repair the problem?

it does it all the time it dont matter if you taking off or going down the hwy if you use about half throttle it does fine but if you want to pass or take off fast and put it to the floor it wont rev up at all

shudders hard, wont speed up, rpm sticks? swap your plugs and wires.

the guy that i got it from said that he just did that i was wondering about the tps? or fuel presure regulator ? but how do you tell if the its bad

my fuel pressure regulator whent it didnt slowely cut out just all of a sudden BAM i was on the side of the road with 2L of gas in my air intake. try the fuel filter i have a friend with a 77 comaro doing the exact same thing 5 bucks later it ran mint

Pull your plugs anyways and check for any cracks in the porcelain, and check the gap that he set them at.

My 96 4.0 did that try a different coil pack. also the plugs i had just put Bosch platinum plugs in and it did not like them put Motorcraft spark plugs in it ran way better.
