Its a sad day....smashed the Ranger

glad you are ok. But man i have always liked your truck, sucks to see it like that

NW

I say salvage your lift parts, rear axle, tires, prettymuch everything you could use to build a new one up and for spare parts. Then sell the rest for scrap. Use that money and whatever money you either have saved or make in the next few paychecks to buy another 93/94 Ranger. You can get them pretty cheap if you look hard enough, they're almost 20 years old now.

another ranger killed by a deer, boys, its war time, ima go buy some deer slugs.

No, that is meat from the tree, LOL. The Deer hit the passenger side and I don't think it did any damage directly

I gotta say, I've never seen steel tubing, let alone a frame, bend up and krinkle in like that.:icon_confused: I guess that's why Ford put that little slit do-dad there.

that's two deer vs truck threads tonight....i whacked one the other day,and on the highway this morning i saw 3 carcasses in a 40km stretch, are they all suicidal now?

Ouch, good to hear all ya got was bad ribs, could have been a lot worse =)

Arn't those illegal? WAIT! who cares?

mmmm lets just mount guns on the front of the trucks and blast away the deer or other inferior cars that get in our way

why not do the full grill style brush-guard/plow =P

That was a sharp truck. Hate to see that frame all bent up like that. That pretty much means it's done.

i say chop the front of the frame down and bob tail the front

That be alot of work. With limited results. Great I guess if you were to build a backwoods buggy, but looks to me like he used it as his DD. If he has inspection to pass, he won't.

I say find a truck to swap all of your stuff onto.

The truck was off DD duty, but I am trying to keep it street legal since I don't have a tow rig. I don't have inspections around here so I could hack it up and make it whatever, but I want it to still look like my Ranger.

Right now the plan is to find another truck, preferably a 2wd reg cab since they are less money and swap all my stuff over and do a SAS at the same time.

On another note, I got my truck running today, ground plug came halfway undone causing it to not start. So i at least got it moved into the back yard.

So things that are needed to get it going:

frame repair of some sort
radiator
front sheet metal
steering column(wont steer, something in the column is messed up)

I might just fix what I have, still wanna find a parts truck.
