I dropped my transmission to replace my clutch. I see that my pressure plate and clutch is Rusty, is this normal? Should I be concerned?

Seems normal for something that sat for a year. I see nothing to be concerned about...

O man!!! Great. I'm installing a new one today and don't want to if there is a danger so ty!!!

That is normal stuff there.

What really matters are the actual surfaces that do the work.

BTW... that pilot bearing looks pretty dry...

Ty so much. I have a new pilot,clutch disc and pressure plate on the way. Expected to arrive today. I sure hope this fixes my issues. I'm not a mechanic. Only got this far because of you guys and you tube. Lol

Also..... jamming bread in there seems getto. Is there another way to get it out or that actually a good way?

I happen to have a small slide hammer with an adapter I use...

There are other ways if you don't have the proper tools... many have been discussed here and elsewhere.

Ty. I will look around for those threads.

the bread is more of a "white trash" thing than a "getto" thing. ;missingteeth;

I use an actual pilot bearing puller. They run from $20-$100 bucks and come in different styles and sizes. This is the one I use most often.

Also know that this truck sat for at least a year undriven before I got it
That's not rust, that's a little surface oxidation. Come to NH and I'll show you some rust if you want to be horrified. I would clean the input splines on the transmission with a wire brush and apply a TINY amount of light grease when it goes back together.
