7.5 diff on `01 2.5l 2wd. Both rear wheels move in and out maybe 1/8" to 3/16. C-clip retainer is on and looks OK. the big pin in between the two shafts looks fine. Is this a "Do not drive it"situation? It's a bit unnerving pushing and pulling the rear wheels and getting motion and a clank.

It is normal on C-Clip axles like the 7.5" and 8.8". As long as there is not enough movement to allow the C-Clip to come out of its hole, everything is fine.
