Help! I've got a '94 ranger and swapped an '87 town car engine and trans into it in '08. Since then the man that made the swap may not be able to do the work anymore. The engine has less than 40k but has an oil leak by the water pump. Transmission needs rebuild and I'm in need of a new rear end. There's an8" I think explorer rear end with disk brakes. I'm in the Detroit metro area and would really like to get this animal back on the road. Thanks for any consideration

So..............the 1994 Ranger has been "on the road" running since 2008 with the new(swapped) engine and trans?

And you are looking for a mobile mechanic in Detroit area to:
Pull and swap transmission, assume AOD automatic
Fix oil leak on a 302/5.0l engine
Diagnose 8.8" rear axle issue

There should be loads of Mobile Mechanics in Detroit area, craigslist, buy and sell, or online

Does the truck roll?
Does it move under its own power, in forward or reverse?

There's got to be a mechanic somewhere in your area of Detroit. IF you can't find one that fits, maybe the guy who put it together can suggest someone.
