If there were no more Rangers -----?

If that happened, I would, no doubt about it, buy a Suzuki Samurai, and wheel the hell out of it!!

When I was younger, 8--14 years old, I'm 17 now, me and my dad had a Samurai and that thing was unstoppable! We had a winch on it, but I don't remember having to use it more than once or maybe twice.

I was actually wanting one for when I got my license, but ended up with my Ranger instead.

Id stick with Ford, 87- 96 Fseries. parts are ridiculously plentiful and affordable. Old school engines that a guy can understand, minimum of compu crap to go tits up. tougher than hell trucks.

Another thought. If ford discontinued the ranger and the aftermarket and all that BS. Then why don't we pool our resources and create our own line of truck, based on teh RBV. But we'd call it something else, due to patent rights and all that. We could manufacture it our own way with a factory 5.0, not some stroked 4.6 either. An honest to God, iron block 5.0 or even a 351W (with diesel option). Solid axle, IFS and TTB models to please everyone. No factory gears anywhere in the 3.xx:1 range. Only ext cab or reg cab( you have to do your own custom 4 dr). Short bed and shorter bed, meaning 3ft bed and 6ft bed. Maybe a 4.5 ft bed.

And last but not least, we create our own aaftermarket parts, and em,ployees get 1/2 off everything.

Maybe a Unimog. Early Bronco. A Ford-suki would be fun too. I like the Iltis,...... soo many choices. How about a Japan Hilux or Land Cruiser ? Or a SAS'ed Xterra !

I'd continue to buy old Rangers. I'd eventually switch to a full size Ford.

back to the old f-150 work truck, never a dakota. i like the big full size rams so if one were for sale id get it

Actually, you're right...I thought it was IH but went to find a pic on their site and they listed only models up to 1957...so I figured it was a Range Rover...but those are neat too...I prefer the Scout body style though...

i like the scouts , but i do not care for the doors on them , i do not like the rear angled edge when the door is removed , that is why i prefer the scout 2 , it is a little bigger and has square doors , which look better

70's IH Scout 2.
