If there were no more Rangers -----?

i would have to say

a first gen Bronco

a Mid-70's Scout II since i have one already :D

a J-10 Honcho

a CJ-8 Scrambler , my roomate at college has one

my 72 Chebby C-10 that rides on K-20 solid axles

any one of these would work for me

1996 Tacoma, brother had one with a coil spacer and a add a leaf and it refused to get stuck.Him and I went wheeling with a 85 4 runner on 38's and the 4 runner go stuck when my brother only had 33's.Something about mid 90's Toyota's are just unstoppable.

1973 F250 4x4 Camper Special with the 390. My son turned mine into tree art.

early 80's toyota pickup or , 94+ mazda b series

I would choose the Range Rover model that had two doors and looked like a Ranger...can't think of the name...maybe Scout...yeah, that was it...Scout...

Or maybe one of these...

1956 IH Truck

Hypothetically if their was no ranger and i needed to pick a new truck id probly opt for a Toyota Taco.

I really dislike the exterior looks but they are offered with a smaller engine that gets about the same milage (a tad better) than my ranger and would fit my usage and are pretty comfy inside.

BUT happily i can still have my Ranger as it is as close to the perfect vehical for my use as i can get. Only thing i wish was an option would be a 4door crew cab but even that is not a big deal.

Well since the aftermarket for Rangers is gone, that means it is also gone for 1st Gen Explorers so I couldn't build one of those... I might buy early 90's Yota (though I CANNOT STAND how close the seats are to the floor since I'm tall...) and probably SAS it....

Or if I was feeling fancy, I'd get an XTerra. Those come with some sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet factory options, and I kinda like 'em.

not the two door you are thinking of is the Land Rover Defender 90 , or maybe it was the Range Rover Sport , but the Scout was an International Harvester , i know because my uncle , who i got mine from , has 13 Scout II's and one Scout 800 , also known as the original scout

Well either a '79 F-150, '06 F-150, or '00 GMC 1500 with a D60 under the front...

For a smaller truck, a '99 Dakota R/T sas'd and 4wheel drive.

Or, a S-10 on a '79 Blazer frame.

Or, a '79 Blazer.

The possibilities are endless.

*Edit: I never thought about that R/T idea until now... damn I'm gonna do that one when I get money! It'll sit next to my ranger :D

I hope I never see that day but if I do I would go with.

Midsize - 2000 - 2005 Toyota Tacoma

Fullsize - 2002 - 2009 F250 Powerstroke first choise!!!!!!!

Suv - 98 - 01 jeep Cherokee sport

No More Rangers? Well I guess I'd to be careful on using the three in the driveway now. Then by the time they wear out I ought to have the '50" F-1 restored and the Ranchero running. I'm not going to live that long.

Actually, you're right...I thought it was IH but went to find a pic on their site and they listed only models up to 1957...so I figured it was a Range Rover...but those are neat too...I prefer the Scout body style though...
