What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Took Truck Norris to his first car show after viskting my detailing friend.

The way I learned it when I was coming up was that you can’t say “OUCH!” unless it bleeds.

But, quite often, the bloody injuries don't even hurt.

Yes, that brings up the whole “adequate beer consumption“ concept while working with power tools…

This is the problem I keep running across.

"Hey, why is everything red and sticky?"

"...oh. You've decided to sacrifice me to Baal again. Super! 😁"

I dont drink... though, with recent injury rates, maybe I should. 🤔

Yep, blood is common. I don't pay much attention anymore.
I have taken to wearing these in the garage:

Can't say enough good about them. We started using them a few years ago at work to cut down on metal splinters, and they work tremendously well. Most of us would get 1-5 splinters a week in our hands, now down to maybe one a month total. Super comfortable as well, and you will get 5-10 wash cycles out of them before they hit the trash can. They are not fireproof though, so mind that...

Most of my "oh, I am bleeding" moments come from when I switch between the ATGs and welding gloves. I'll skip a glove switch to save time, and I'll get sacrificed to whichever lord of hell my truck has decided to worship that day.

I wear gloves as much as I can for welding and fabricating. But for general mechanic work, it's hit or miss. My hand sweat a lot in the heat. It's annoying to be working on stuff and the sweat is running out of my glives and down my arms. Rubber gloves fill with sweat. Any other gloves get soaked and feel nasty.

Now that I'm on blood thinners, I have to be more careful. It just doesn't stop bleeding as fast as it used to.

Seems I wear gloves all the time during tear down. Not so much during assembly.

Always when fabricating/welding. I recently bought a nice pair of Hobart welding gloves... way nicer then what I'm use to using.
