I have a dual spring rate / lift height puzzle for you...

If you wanted to bring them by, I can slam them into CAD for cutting and make some assembly drawings. (Not wanting to take away from Joel, but 15 years later...)

Some of my other work; I'm still working on the license plate bracket and haven't decided if I want PEM nuts like the Ford bumper or weld in nuts to make it easier for DYI.

This topic has literally created four new tech pages that I'll be posting links to tomorrow.

But while we're brainstorming.... we need to dive into the coilover suspensions on the new Ranger, and for anyone that might want to replace coil springs with coilovers on on the old Rangers.
I’m gonna have to see if I can find it, but I did track down some partial information on coilovers on older Rangers. I was actually considering doing it to my 92 Ranger if it wouldn’t have ended up wrecked, now I have different plans for that truck…

I searched and can't find him on any forums since like 2012. I think he had a webpage for Villian Motorsports, but it's not existent as well. If he was still making this stuff, it would be out there on the forums, so I don't think you're going to be taking anything away from him. Plus, I doubt he applied for a patent. I'm not suggesting mass producing them, but I don't see where making a copy for yourself and a friend is going to hurt. Plus, if you don't CAD these, all of his work is going to end up being lost.

Did you try Villin? (Spelling)

If my 10 second google was good... "joel" came up in the 'where did you buy your last lift' thread as villian motorsports, and villian motorsports comes up with that facebook (which is all semi's and big stuff... used to be a ranger guy that went big?)

Good info... I got 6 days straight of crappy weather I can spend a little more time googling than 10 seconds on the next go.

The high for today is 1 degree.... which it is 1 degree right now (3:30 am)... just gets worse from here, and when the wind picks up well like hell I am going outside.

I just aimed my google at 'Copykat ford ranger' got his last name, went after that and canada, a leads to b... found in 10 more minutes.... but no activity on FB since 2022
