i got offered this for my ranger...

Lol, I know exactly where that person lives.
My ex gf lived a few trailers down.

It had 33's or 35's on it back then.

15 probably not. I'd say 12 would be your average. With a 4 speed that's hard to find.

I would take a really really through look at it. The hid's are most likely done right but not aimed anywhere near right. Depending on what you want to do with it those broncos are great trucks.

If you do trade.... Rip all that wiring out and redo it right. :shok:

Agreed on the wiring, needs to be redone. Along with a few other things.

Could make a nice project though, question is.. would it make a better daily driver?

I can't really tell what that motor is on my phone, but I bet it's a 400. You'll be lucky to get 10 or 11 mpg with it. A guy at work has owned several 78-79 Broncos. They are great looking rigs when done right, but they get crappy mpgs. If that's a concern, stay away.

It's a 351m and yes I need to get at least 15 mpg ( stupid phone -_-) avg...I don't wanna spend all my money on gas

Then whatever you do, don't do it. You won't be anywhere near 15 mpgs.

Any chance i could get that if i were to swap a 351w/302 w/ a 5 Speed manual with OD? or just getting an OD trans ( assuming they even have one that bolts up)

Maybe on the freeway.....

Here's some figures for a 93 Bronco (EFI) in this link:

And an 84 Bronco (Carb) in this link:

EDIT: 84 is as old as it goes, or I'd pull up the 78/79 years.

i'm kind of thinking about doing it and just sucking the crappy gas mileage up until i can find a 302 to swap into it. i only drive about ~20 miles a day and if i work and school on the same day ...~35ish

/e Or a 4bt...

People rarely trade something good or equal in value to what they want. Be willing to accept a lemon if you take it unless your ranger is worse.

my buddy has one with they same setup and averages 9 mpg on the highway, but it is a lot of fun to drive around in.

4bt bronco would be pretty awesome.
