Run away. With a Holley 750, 6 MPG would be pretty good. Wiring troubles are to be expected. As already said , if that was an example of the upkeep and workmanship..... Concern over MPG, implies daily driver. Get an econobox And, keep your Ranger for a toy, Yah a 34 yr old Ford living in a city built over a salt mine, Run Forrest, run.
I can push 17 mpgs in town with my B2.. 4.0/a4ld/4.56s/33's (well, 285/75/16's)
to me, its worth it compared to driving a car all the time.
with the 4.56's and 33's and keeping the speed down and not flooring it start off at a red light, it does pretty good I suppose. I actually got 18.8 out of it driving it like a grandpa.. and have hit 20 mpgs with the cruise on 65 mph on the interstate.
yeah, I actually DD my gf's 04 f150 lariat a lot.. well, till next week when she moves back to college during the week, its only 30 miles away so she comes home for friday-sunday.
something that "new" and nice makes me want to update my DD a little.
if you could somehow fit a newer ( i think it's 2005+ f150) type interior into your b2 that would be the best of both worlds!
04+
I am liking my Eddie Bauer interior in the Ranger though.![]()
That Heritage edition always makes me say 05+ too. I know it started in 04, but sometimes my fingers forget.
