This truck has been around the area a while. I know the previous two owners from going to a
shows, So I at least know it's history over the last 6 years. 2.5/5 speed. Needs some work. Needs an alternator and a power steering pump. I have a 170 amp alternator on the way, since it has 4 compressors to fill the two 3.5 gallon air tanks. It runs rough, the previous owners unloaded the parts cannon on it, even putting a new engine in but it runs exactly the same, but neither of them had a real mechanic look at it. Me and my buddy are going to tackle it and get it figured out. It needs some work on the 4 link as well, the geometry is all messed up, but that'll be down the road, it's had a lot of miles with the current setup.

Just ordered all of the 0 guage wiring, ordered 20 feet since the battery is behind the passenger rear wheel, terminal ends, crimper tool, and fuse to go with the 170 amp alternator thats on the way. Add on the power steering pump, it will need tires down the road, wheels need re-powdercoated...
I'm never going to financially recover from this.

So that's my buddies trailer and straps. 2 on the front wheels and 2 on the rear axle. I won't be doing this again. Even with the truck in gear in rolled back a couple inches. I stopped to check the straps after a couple miles, and threw another strap to the frame up front and tightened everything down again.

The issues are multiplying! I will save it though. Hopefully I will have it road worthy in the next week. Radiator and new bags for the front are on the way. Alternator is in and wired, power steering pump and pressure line is on, everything works like it should. It still idles like hell but i know it drives, so I'll get it to my buddies shop and we'll figure it out. When I was wiring the battery terminals I discovered one of the air tanks has a pinhole, that'll be a winter project. They don't make this size tank anymore (it has 2 3.5 gallon tanks) so I'll have to reconfigure it, they're also welded in.

Got the new radiator in tonight. Then I ran to O'Reillys and matched up a hose that was a little longer than the stock lower hose. Then I trimmed it to fit. The bodydrop makes the radiator sit 3-4 inches lower than stock, so the lower hose wasn't allowing the radiator to sit in the lower mounts correctly. I also need to get new isolators since one is missing. Down the road I'll convert it to an electric fan.

Took it for a quick trip up the road. I've never driven a bagged truck so it's going to take some real getting used to before I'm comfortable with it, lol. Lack of front shocks or sway bar makes it a little squirly. Also need to figure out the best psi to run at since the toe changes so much throughout the suspension travel.

Most of the bagged trucka i see are "squatting". The nose is always a litte higher than the rear. IDK if that's because it rides better that way, or if it's for even tread ware.

I would say the frontend is up so they can steer without hitting the fenders.

There is no reason other than those who do it like to look goofy. There is no benefit, it is just a fad. Like wheel spinners a while back.

Relatively long lasting fad I'd say... how many decades have lowriders been a thing? 5? 6?

There IS a reason other than looking goofy, I just don't know what it is. @ZMan may be on the right train of thought. You may be thinking of the current "squatted stance" full size trucks are going through. That's definatley a "fad".
