i have a 99 4x4 5spead that i replaced the slave on and when i hooked everything back up the truck would still not go in gear. so after looking around on the site some people had to bleed the sytem after changing the slave. so i following the instructions on this link on how to bleed the clutch. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/bleedclutch.htm

and i am stuck on step 5 i have open the bleeder valve but only a small amount of fluid came out and then it stoped i left the valve open for an hour and nothing more came out.:temper:

does any one know what i might be doing wrong i did make sure the master cylinder was topped off with dot 3. thanks for any help.

thanks that video helped me figer out what i did wrong. i didnt remove that black filter.

thanks for your help i got the clutch bleed today and it moved under its own power. :headbang:

How I bleed the master on my 94
1) Fill and cap reservoir
2) Loosen slave bleeder valve (connect hose to bleeder reservoir)
3) Depress clutch pedal and hold in place with ice scraper
4) Tighten bleeder valve
5) Invert Ranger
6) Release clutch pedal
7) Right Ranger
8) Repeat starting at 1) until bled

:)
