what?
Hey guys, I have a very odd and erratic click that I can't seem to chase down. Ill be driving this truck 800 miles home so I'm making sure its good to go so hopefully I won't break down. I hear a click somewhere between the trans and rear end but not sure where. I happens in straight lines and turns both directions. Speed sometimes changes it but not by much. Bumps don't make the click. It happened before I did any work and after trans fluid, diff fluid, axle bearings and brakes, it still happens. I've tried shaking the truck on the ground, lifting it and wiggling the tires, spinning both tires by hand, and spinning the drive shaft. Ring and pinion looked perfect and bearings in diff made no noises. I'm at my wits end and looking for suggestions. Anything else in particular I should look at? I can't just leave it alone, my worrieness about it and ocd about getting this truck as new as I can afford right now isn't helping. Someone please give some ideas!!!

Did you check u-joints?

Thanks man! Idk why I didn't even think to check. Guess it's cause I have a million things going on. Bad u joint on output shaft.
