Even a better question how many liters are in a gallone? For the life of me I never know which gallons to be using. are they Us gallons? brazillian Gallons or Canadian Gallons? So many gallons I don't know which to use. I have a 1996 ranger 2.3 liter and the book says I should get 22-27mpgs. I average 9.5 liters per 100km, mixture of both city and highway. I don't think that's very good though.

Aprox. 3.78 L to a gallon.

29.73 MPG Imperial. 24.75 MPG US.

4.54 liters to the imperial gallon. 3.78 liters to the US gallon.

FWIW, I'm getting 10.5L/100km with my 4.0 5spd 2wd on the highway.
That's 22.5 MPG US and 27 MPG imperial.
