Well a buddy just lent me his pressure washer that's never been used before and the damn hose touched the exhaust when I started it up to use it and started leaking. I tried to repair it with a barbed inner piece of metal and some hose clamps but that's not working.

Do I need to buy a whole new hose or can it be repaired?

You have bad luck eh?

Yeah, too much pressure to rig it up.

Just replace it.

Oh, I know. There's no way I'm returning it damaged. My policy is "when you borrow something be sure to return it in the same or better condition". I was just wondering how much a "shop" would charge to repair it, if even possible. Do you know how much they are? It's like 16 ft x 1/4" hose. Thanks

Yeah, it seems like I've been having a lot of bad luck lately....hahaha.

NOT........................what i wanted to hear:sad:

But thanks for the honesty. Looks like a new line's gonna be like 30/40 bucks. Ouch! I guess I'll look at it as a rental fee then.

having to replace a hose is a whole lot better than realizing you forgot to put the oil in the new motor after you started it. try home depot for a hose, they will probably be the cheapest.

lol...sucks to be you I guess. I'd make ya a new hose if you were closer, but shipping'll probably cost more than the hose locally. However, if the barb is the proper one it should hold the pressure. Either way, gotta do your shopping and get one cheap.....$100 at one store and $30 at the next.....

Thanks whalstrom. It's not a very large or long hose. It's only like 15-20 feet long and it's 1/4 inch. I think Lowe's has one actually for $16.95. There's no picture, but it says it's in stock so I'll swing by there and see if 'it'll work in the morning.

Well actually it is morning, but I mean when the sun comes up later...lol. Either way I'll end up getting it done by noon cause I've got to finish up my truck here. Thanks again.

Hose is repaired!

Only costed me $15.00! I've aleady begun to pressure wash the engine bay. Man is it dirty! I'll post some pics later so you guys can see how it came out. The whole undercarriage is filthy. Looks like I'm going to go pressure washer crazy....lol
