changed the oil...now the oil light has come on. usua;;y its the other way around right haha?
 
You did remember to put the drain plug back in....didn't you?
And if you did, you did remember to replace the filter, tighten completely and fill with oil, right?
 
Maybe you drained out whatever was stopping up an oil leak.
 
yes i did all that, ive always changed my oil since i could drive ( and before then for some extra cash :)
 
and possibly david i didnt see any in the oil though
 
Maybe some gunk broke loose and is clogged in the sensor switch. Take it off and take a look at it. Maybe you just knocked the wire loose. I doubt an oil change would cause catastrophic pump failure.

But you know how it is we did have to poke some fun at you. Many years ago I once forgot to put the drain plug back in. Imagine my surprise when oil started flowing out from under the car. Such is the price of answering the phone while working on your ride.

its good. i forgot to put the tailgate of my 78f150 back on after i restored it. drove almost a whole week and didnt notice it
