Hey guys, what do you think is better, the Firestone Destination All-Terrain Vs. the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO, Im stuck on the fence on this one.:icon_confused:

either choice is a good one... most people seem to say bfg's.. depends on what you're looking for if you ask me.

IMO, the firestone is more one the street side of the AT playing field and the bfg is more on the offroad side... both do great on basic trails and rocks, the bfg's do slightly better in mud but neither of them clean out worth a crap... i like the look of bfg's a lot more..

i've had both on my b2, most don't know that...lol. and for dd'ing it i liked the firestones more but on the trails i liked the bfg's more....

so are you looking for more street or more trail? my firestones lasted longer... but the bfg's lasted long enough i didn't complain.

my new tires are hankook dynopro at's and i LOVE them... they seem to do great all around. but of course they may be better off road b/c they are 33's instead of 30's.. lol.

I have used both and I love the BFG's a lot better. The BFG's to me handle a lot better in wet weather. They make driving in bad weather a lot safer and better. Both makes work great in sand, gravel and on trails and light mud...just not in really deep muddy situations of course....that's for mud tires....lol

I also seem to get better tread life with the BFG's as well.

I had a set of BFGs on my ranger. Traction when it is wet? Those don't believe it to be possible and showed it. The Hankooks and Firestones would be lighter. After reading the tire rubbing thread you posted, lighter is better for the 2.5.
For better reviews on the tires, check out the tires/wheels section below the for sale section. There are other tires listed there too.

duratrac's are a GREAT tire to.

Thanks for the input guys, it really helps me. Im going to go with the firestone destinations just because ill be primarily on road and light off roading. I agree that the BFG tires have a way better appeal. And also the destinations are lighter so that will help my tiny 4-cylinder. Once again thanks, yall never let me down

well, its not a bfg a/t but a close clone. mfg by cooper tire (from what ive found out by online research anyways) its the dakota futura marketed by pepboys. i run these exculsivly as a winter tire, though i also had a set i ran year round on a 3/4 ton. the tread pattern is very similar to the bfg a/t. the last set i bought (which now needs replacing) was about 5 years ago, at that time these tires were only about 55 bucks a peice, they now are around 100 per tire,(235-75-15) ouch! inflation bites. the only thing bad i have to say about them applies to pretty much any tire, as they age, the rubber seems to harden, which means less grip. mine wil spin like crazy on certian spots of wet pavement, even though the tread is still plenty good. ive had them is mud before and they self-cleaned pretty good to a degree. every so often pep boys will run a "buy 3 get 1 free" (rebate) promo. heres a few pictures of them:

May or may not be relavent, but I have BFG MT's on one truck and Firestone MT's on the other. The BFG's are quieter, ride nicer... all around more polite. From the sounds of things the BFG AT's are about the same way.
