im looking to build a 3.3 morana kit w/ 10-15psi boost, anybody have pictures or recommendations on how to port the heads to maximize my flow? ive seen basic porting tutorials but have never ported heads, im going to get an extra junkyard set to practice on first, just wanted to see if anybody out there could give me a leg up on this one, thanx for everything!:icon_welder:

use a set of intake and exhaust manifold gaskets to gasket match the ports. this is a small v6, so of coarse the short side radiuses could use a lot of attention. theres really not much too it. you just want all bends, joints, and seams to be a smooth and level as possible.

not much to it like wicked said, just get a sharp punch and use a gasket to get the correct shape, size, etc. and "etch" what you want to cut out, then get a dremel or something and go to town.

thats what i read up on on the basic porting tutorial, and thanks for the reply. is there anything special i would have to do to them to enhance hp or anything else like taper it more toward the roof of the port or open up the gully between the valve guide or u shape it around the valve stem for more direct flow?

i wouldnt bother getting fancy unless you plan on having them flow tested to see what actually works for that particular application. just smooth everything off as best you can is about all you can do when your "guessing".

ive dug around that site quite a bit, really interesting stuff ive saved it in my favorites. thanx for the referral, its proven to be a really good reference.
