Hagan's '86 Ranger build!

I wonder what would happen if I put the original vent back and put a piece of hose between the 2? Maybe even a tee fitting in between? Maybe I'm over complicating things lol

How close is the fluid level to the vent hole? I would think you would want the vent as high as you could get it.

I'm telling you man, high vent, catch can and 1/2 quart oil is the key I think.

Too be honest I have no idea. It's almost vertical in the truck. It's hard to tell on the bench but it's close to the top

Sorry Grunizzle, I hope you didn't think I was ignoring you. I was just hoping not to run a catch can. I'm pretty certain the catch can will fix the issue.

My truck isn't registered or insured yet so it's just quick runs down my street to test stuff. I have to wait until late September until I can legally drive it.

You might not even need the catch can, just run a vent line up the firewall first and see how much that does for you.If it still pukes, add a catch can to the vent line and never worry about it again

Yeah I did that today with my new vent location. Nothing got pushed out into the line. But I only got up to ~25mph. I think this will work perfectly.

Here is a pic of my tank. I forgot to take a pic with my bumper on.

I finished my Painless adjustable fan controller install. It was super easy and so far works great.

Oops forgot to mention that. If you look at the pic it's at the very bottom near the yellow cap. Or you can just follow the metal wire/tube thingy from the assembly.

ya saw that metal wire, just hard to see the end of er

With the zf5 swap, what are you using for the master cylinder and lines? I read through your thread but I was confused what parts were ranger and what parts were not.

Clutch master cylinder and lines came from an '88 Ranger. The line plugs right into the zf5 and fits the body like how it came from the factory. The only issue I have is my clutch engages at the very bottom. Not sure if that's a master cylinder issue or slave?

Are you thinking of a zf5?

Cool thanks. Yeah I'm thinking as I get funds I'm going to put together a zf5 and 203/205 doubler setup. Just not satisfied with the c4.

Are you ditching the Strongbox?

I wish I would have went with a 203/205 doubler.
