What's the worst you've seen? Post pics :alien:

Here's my latest from yesterday. '93 Ranger I picked up very cheap, probably has a cracked head(s), typical milkshake oil, smokes a lot. I'm guessing this happened because the lower intake was leaking and the idiot tried to fix it first with a layer of what I assume to be JB Weld, then a coat of RTV smeared all over everything within a foot of the leak, then some sort of hard white stuff that kind of resembles sheetrock joint compound. Obviously it did not work.

Way back in my youth I bought a parts car for my Torino. Thee front brake lines were folded back and visegrips clamped on. That was because the rotors were worn thru to the ribs...

My first vehicle at age 16 was an '85 bronco. I could never figure it out, but sometimes I would randomly get a no crank, and for whatever reason, kicking the brake pedal would get it to crank over and fire up. When I think back t my youth, I did some hack work.

I had a 75 F150 when i was 16...i was somewhere my parents wouldnt approve of about 11 at night. Went to leave and right as i fired it the alternator belt snapped. Tried to melt it back togther with a cigarette lighter.

My brother was recently gifted a thrashed BII. Not running. Chop top. He asked me to help get it going. First off. It has a brand new starter but no index ring. I D K. Fixed that but while under there found grenaded transfer case. Has a 6” lift and the drive shaft was extended by adding nuts as spacers between the flanges 🤦🏼‍♂️ Oh my god! I should have taken pictures. It’ll be a while getting it going but it’s just for wheeling around the woods and goin to town for ice cream.
