Going shooting with a couple friends and there isn't enough room for people and rifles in the back seat. Anyone have a gun rack?

3/4 of the size of an F-150, $40k price tag, no room for gun rack...damn sounds like the Toyota pickups from the 70's and 80's not enough cab width for a gun rack. WTH.

Don't they have an under seat storage option for the Ranger crew cab trucks?

My 2008 Toyota Tundra had an under seat storage box which ran the whole width of the back seat, by flipping the bottom of the seat up on each side you had access to 1/2 the box, it would carry 2 rifles with scopes in the box, and several hand guns, or 3 shotguns, or 3 rifles without scopes.

I'm actually really surprised as to the lack of storage space in this thing. Under the back seat there are 2 small trays basically. Behind the seat a little space but not much.

I got a caddy that hangs on the back of the front seat that is supposed to hold long guns for Christmas a couple years ago. Never used it though

I saw that type of deal when looking around online. The rear legroom isn't much in there. I really think I just need to get a secure bed cover.

Comparing specs to the F150, the Ranger is actually 1 inch longer, and the F150 is 5-1/2 inches wider....so really the Ranger isn't any smaller, so the space inside the cab rather lack of is pretty pathetic for $40k. Not impressed, and looking at them driving by on the road you can tell that cab is ridiculously narrow for the size of the truck. The numbers on Ford's website don't make sense either..they claim the 4x4 from ground to open/lowered tailgate is 33 inches....my 87 4x2 Ranger's height from ground to tailgate is 29 inches....something isn't adding up with the Ford numbers....if that's the case the new Ranger is only 5 inches wider than my 87, and I can fit a gun rack in my 87 Ranger so there should be absolutely no reason a gun rack couldn't work in a full size "Ranger".

Alternative I guess would be sawed off shotguns and rifles LOL.

I'm gonna have to take a good look under the back seat. In the floor just 2 small cubby holes maybe room in the seat itself for something.

Wow, I had a compartmentalized storage bin behind the seat in my 99 Regular Cab Dodge Ram pickup, that bin was awesome for storing everything from tools to guns, hunting and fishing accessories, you name it....tons of room back there and it was just a regular cab.

How on earth did Ford manage to build something as big as an F150 but with a useless rear seat area and no storage. I just find it really hard to fathom, hell I've got more room behind the seat of my regular cab Ranger it sounds like LOL.

Honestly if I park it next to the 98 expedition they are about the same size. Ranger is a little narrower.
Don't get me wrong I love the new truck it's just taking a little getting used to

I could fit 2 rifles behind the seat of my 92 regular cab

92 regular cab short bed with 2.9 auto.with 4.88 gears and 33's also got about the same mileage. But not near as much fun to drive!
Lol

It is really close to the same size as a 2nd gen Sport Trac. Less cab and more bed.

F-150 dwarfs a Ranger.

Not really
I had an f150 supercrew for a loaner and they are pretty close in length and height. Ranger is somewhat narrower.
Tailgate height is actually higher on the ranger

Only place that may be possible is if I remove the cover from the rear seat cushion.

I DD a supercab 150 and they sure seem smaller to me...
