ya,there were some withdrawl symptoms going on.the net goes bad on a regular basis here,so we didn't think much of it at first,but by friday night we knew there was something wrong.and sinnce they're closed sat/sun/mon there was little we could do.

funny thing is my camera stopped working friday too.after searching around town for a new one with no success(i went to all two of the places that sell them.i could order one if i wanted to wait a couple weeks)i took this one apart yesterday and got it working again.

workwise things just got stupid....one of the bigger lodges just brought me in to do work on some of their boats.i have between 40-60 of them to work on.plus,there's the usual stream of stuff that's always coming through.

i'll still be plugging away on the car,though.it's getting so close i can taste it.

It just means more money for the car! Make sure you're as detailed as possible with the paint, I sense painting in my future

the camera was easy...but you should have seen the reaction from the wife as i was taking it apart.'holy cow-that's a lot of tiny parts!'....then 'kids,stay out of the living room-i don't want you touching anything'.

the actual problem was just a bad connection on one of the ribbon wires.

as for the world,i don't think i can fix that.we just need to get a new one.

they're making some reasonable guns for cheap.while i wouldn't want to use one professionally,they are more than capable for the weekend warrior.as a matter of fact,i think some of the harbor freight guns are better than the 'good' guns they were selling 20 years ago.

I've already learned the value of a good tool, I also boycott harbor freight so I'm probably somewhere in the $100-200 range for the gun, if I go that route.

all's good.just a coincidence,the internet went out friday just after the office closed.they don't open again till tuesday morning so we went down and got it taken care of first thing......turns out my router just needed to be reset.

Next time make a post in the computer corner, I'm sure one of us would be able to help you figure it out.

JK! You'll get to it when ya get to it. I'm kinda curious how much more you can accomplish when you don't have to get on here and update/bs every 5 minutes.

Wish I could say you're welcome, but I was hoping that your area would get hit so I could sneak off with the car while everybody was focused on the clean-up/rebuild.

Honestly, I didn't even know about the events in Japan until Monday afternoon. Y'all were in the clear before I knew about it. I am glad you are safe though, and look forward to any updates when ever you have time to give them.

Maybe I should have thrown a couple of these in as well:



Sarcasm doesn't carry well over the internet without a few smiley's to help it along. I have had enough internet problems solved by resetting the router that's the first thing I would have suggested if I had known. My usual internet related problem goes something along the lines of: Check Router, Reset Modem, Reset Modem Again, Plug modem into different jack (test port outside), Then call tech support. At that point it either consists of me telling them that their cheap a$$ pos modem is dead again, or that they have a problem up the line somewhere. To be followed by them no believing me, and talking me through the steps to diagnose the problem only to find out that I was right.
