Gt-12

It is actually safer for the boat. that way they can point the boat into the wave and just ride over the top, as opposed to it being in shallower water at the dock and being smashed into everything.

There was actually a boat that rode out Hurricane Ike in galveston bay. 130 foot boat hanging on 3 anchors, dragged 3/4 of a mile downwind, while running the engines to help keep control. The captain called the radio station I was listening to lol

mine too.seems like there's been a lot of this going on the last while,i'm just waiting for it to be my turn.i'm about 6' above sea level.and in an active siesmic zone.

yep and we are sitting on/near 5 plates that are due for a big movement soon. Theres the Juan de fuca under Van isle, The Explorer plate beside van isle and under your island then the pacific right beside your island...sheeeshhh...:annoyed:

hang on eh? im atleast 500ft up from the water on the east coast of mine though

this was not just one boat though.... it was like all of mission bay decided to take a scenic trip. The bad part is that they were at the rocky side. Right there at the ASW base, there is that wall of rocks, that's where they were all cluster fawked together. Not like they were in a line ready to take on waves, the were just there to watch. She said that all the squids on the base went outside too. She poked her head out and she said it looked like a convention out there.

wow that's weird... they should have been safe in mission bay anyways.

But the only safe way to do it is go out in the ocean and ride it out

lol yea really. hes gotta be fine though. my gf just flew out to vancouver today and i doubt if there was huge problems that theyd still be sending planes there
