Tom, that's a nice model you have built in your basement! I can't wait for you to get some model paint on it, it'll look real kool then. Are you gonna hang that one on the shelf, or make a clear box for it to sit in dust free?? Sorry, from the looks of it I had to, looks awesome work!! Keep it up

starting to layer the filler on.be prepared to go through lots of filler if you are going to try this.all the wood must be covered and since the filler layer will be about 1/4'' thick i expect to use about 2 gallons on this part.

be sure to build up the thickness in multiple layers,and sand periodically between them with a long board to keep the shape right.recessed areas are the hardest to get smooth,but patience and hard work will get it done.

The lines on the hood work really good now that I can see it as a whole. Primer will be cool it'll show the lines off better.

np....here's another.

after a bit of sanding(and lots more filler)it's getting to the shape i'm wanting.unfortunately i ran out of blue hardener for the filler and had to switch to red,so i've got a varigrated effect on it now...but that doesn't matter except for how pics look at this point.

i have some more detail work around the plate recess and the scoops,but it looks like i'm on track for priming tomorrow.
