i use oil on aluminum,and cut it with wood cutting blades,but on steel you would be creating a fire hazard.this is also where a dust collector would be a problem-the stream of sparks coming off that blade carry a huge amount of heat that most dust collectors are not designed to handle.
i'm assuming that by metal cutting blade he's referring to a carborundum grinder-type blade.the carbide tipped metal cutting blades are very dangerous at the speed woodcutting equipment turns at.
