Gt-12

kinda like newfoundland, no bridges just flights or ferrys

is there a bridge from BC to Haida Gwaii or only flights and ferries?

haida gwaii is actually part of bc,but we like to think of ourselves as somehow 'apart'.when heading over to the mainland, you'll here people saying they 'are going to canada'....wonder how long till i'll need a passport to get to prince rupert:icon_twisted:

theres still lots of work to do at the top around the carbs-the edges all need to be turned in and given a finished look.
it's like frickin frankenstien, all these bits pieced together to make this thing work.and theres more to go.

a problem i've been having is that the room i'm building this thing is has crappy lighting,so i went on a search to find someting to brighten it up a bit.

found dora in one of the kid's rooms.she likes to be helpful.

It blows my mind the things you produce out of a tarp shed and a basement. You have more skill than anyone I know.

a lot of people are afraid to try something because they don't have all the perfect conditions to do it in.

look around you,see what you can repurpose to help, even if it means recruiting dora.

it's not the building that creates the project, its the imagination and willingness to try things that the individual uses.

Hmm that's a pretty cool little quote there Tom!

Sheet metal work is looking killer as usual!!

will the hood still open?

no,all work has to be done from the wheelwells.:icon_thumby:

actually, the scoop/aircleaner will need to be removed first, then it opens just fine.i wanted to keep the opening around the carbs as tight as possible,so the scoop will be quick to remove.

wow. been following this thread and love the idea! good work so far... keep us posted!!!! can't wait to see the video of this thing screaming!

been pondering the front suspension for a few days, trying to figure out how to stuff the bimmer stuff under the gt6 hood.i like the strut system(it's simple)but have two problems with the parts i have.

the springs are too big around, and the struts are two long.

i've never tried modifying one of these things before, but i have nothing to lose by trying.

gt6002-12.jpg

started by removing the spring the fast way(cutting torch) as it won't be used, then stripped the hardware off the top.

the assembly is held together by these crimps at the top.
