Well, took the truck into get inspected for the next year, and it failed. Didn't know where to post this as it is a multi-problem post.
Failed for:
1.)Excessive oil leak-This one has me perplexed as it is coming from the passenger side. It leaks pretty good. I tried to pinpoint it, but no luck. I did notice though that there is oil droplets visible between the head and the block.

2.) Right side E-brake is not clamping down hard enough. I have a feeling it is time to install the bracket for the E-brake from the bodylift, as the drums and shoes are brand new (1 year old)

3.)No rubber covering for the clutch pedal (anyone have a extra one or can hit a junkyard for me?)

The oil leak is my biggest problem I see. When we pulled the motor out of the 91 Mustang, it did not leak at all. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

And I thought NH inspections were tough!

Thanks for reminding me. Mine's going in for one tommarrow.

Then again, we are talking Germany here.

No, we are talking US Army in Germany inspections....not even close to the German inspections...The truck would not even pass the German inspections.

Yow! Are German inspections really that bad???

Sounds like minor problems to fix.

Ya, basically if it is not stock on the vehicle you will fail. Each car on the road (except for us Americans) have a paper with the car that tells the inspection people and the police what type of modifications are on the car. You can mod you car, but it needs to go thru a inspection first before it is "street legal" This costs an insane amount of money. For example, I have a german friend who also owns a Mustang. He decided he wanted to put cobra brakes on it and supercharge it....Just the inspection and writting in the papers alone cost him over 1000 euros. That is not including the cost of installation either, as he is not allowed to do that stuff himself.

I know you're not joking, but that sounds nuts!

Upgraded brakes will make he car safer and the Polezi have an issue with that???

1000 Euro is about $1200, give or take, right? That is crazy!

Then again, they have to finance Autobahn mantaince somehow.

Yes, you are correct in your calculation....Now back to the issue at hand.....

The oil leak....How the hell can I tell where it is coming from?

Clean off the engine & the leak will show sooner or later.

Just check any loose oil lines or a leaky filter gasket.

Does the truck have any oil cooler on it?

No, and the oil filter is on the driver's side....The leak is coming from the passenger side.

As the tree said to the lumberjack, "I'm stumped!"

About the only think I can think of is a leaking camshaft seal or on the pan gasket.

Here I am sitting in New Hampshire trying to diagnose a engine leak for a guy 7,000 miles away in Germany!

Got any pics?

Will take some pics when I get home. I don't think the boss would appreciate me laying down in a suit to take pics. :P

intake manifold gasket maybe? or the rear main seal is leaking?

i was once assigned to NATO Hdqtrs. in Belgium, no inspections for us and we all had special tags that got us thru the border crossings without being stopped. yeah, it was a fun 4 years!

I had a horrid leak once from the valve cover...right at the back and hard to see...but I put on one of those blue rubber gaskets and tightened it down properly and no more leak...check the bolts on the valve cover...if they seem tight then it may be something else...but that is usually where they leak...

I will check those Mark.

How can I check the rear main without pulling everything apart?
