I am wanting to remove the front grill of the ranger and since it's winter up here I don't want to go the route of trial and error. I want to paint the grill and the 'eyelids' over the corners. If someone could point me in the right direction it'd be very helpful as I am still not adjusted to the cold.

Thanks in advance

pop the hood, you'll see a row of screws holding the grill on (7-8 of them if memory serves). remove the screws. the bottom of the grill is "hooked" to the core support with plastic hooks....you need to just work the grill this way and that to get them to let go (you wont need to force it, when its ready it'll pop right off).

Yeah, as long as you have all the bolts, it'll come out with a little jimmying around. To ge the corner pieces out, you'll need to take out the front corner lights. There's a screw hiding behind it. L8ER- Josh

my '88 had a few hidden ones on the front of the grill... just don't force anything.

Only tools you'll need are a #2 philips screwdriver and an 11mm wrench.
Ratchet wrenches are nice for this cause it is a little tight.
