X2, I would love to stick some 285/75-16's on the F-150 and loose the hippo on a roller skate look that 255/70-16's give it, but to do that I need to loose the 3.31 highway flyer gears. I could use new tires by next fall, so this should be a nice little boost in that dept, otherwise it is a pretty big expense without it.

I think I'll get a pulley and tuner for my buick :icon_idea: I agree though 255/70s look small on F-150s..we had those on ours, and they were a big step up from the stockers, which were only 235/70, now it has 265/70s and it looks good.

Window dressing. It will not stimulate the economy. Although I don't mind having $600 in my pocket it won't help the economy. When you look at the multi-TRILLION dollar economy your $600 won't even be a blip on the screen. As for the guy who said he's going to go out a buy a new amp., well that is exactly what it's intended to do. Buy an amp. get a new outfit purchase some groceries. If you really want to help the economy buy something from a small retailer, not the totally huge mega retailer. 70% of our economy is small business owners, they are the one that keep us going not walmart, target or shell oil. Go buy a pizza at the mom and pop pizza shop, buy your girlfriend some flowers or buy your truck parts at a LOCALLY owned parts store.

Mine had 235's originally, it looked plumb rediculous, it looks halfway normal now with these but I think it starting look tacky with the grille guard/lights, dual exhaust and tiny tires.

I bet there will be a record number of lottery tickets sold the week that the checks go out.

to be honest, I think they might have put a little more research into the subject, or else they wouldn't be doing it. Maybe just MY $600 won't do anything, but when you have a vast majority of the country spending $600, it might do something...its like voting. We'll see I guess.

so do we get these checks in the mail? I already filed my taxes and will have them early next week.

I look at the bright side. I'll get a check, probably my money in the first place but hey its money. In the end Uncle Sam still dont care about the man who's collars blue.

It's a rebate for not making too much. Make over $75,000 a year ($150,000 for a couple) and you don't get squat.

Wonderful:rolleyes: I get screwed without vaseline again.:flipoff:

ya you'll probably get them in the mail. This has NOTHING to do with taxes.

itll be sweet, more money to play with into the ranger :)

when this money does finally show up in my mail box I think I'm gonna use it to finish paying any credit card debt I have if I have any left after taxes returns. got me a plan! pay off everything so all I have left is the truck payment and utilities. honestly I only need about $2,500 to do this so I may have left overs before the extra money shows up. at which point I'm gonna look into toys for the truck (new gears, taller tires, . . . . . . . .)

You're not totally screwed unless you make over $87,000 in income as a single and $174,000 as a couple. After $75K and $150K, the amounts are reduced and totally phased out at the $87K and $174K amounts.
